Z histórie:
Do mojej prvej výstavy v roku 1997 som zahrnula 29 obrazov s rôznou tématikou, z ktorých prvý som namaľovala v januári 1986 a posledný v decembrii 1997. Väčšina mojich vtedajších prác je maľovaná technikou kombinovaného pastelu (suchý-mastný), niektoré sú iba ceruzou alebo len mastným pastelom. Táto technika mi v tom čase vyhovovala pre veľmi širokú škálu možností. Mohla som ňou vyjadriť úplnú jemnosť, priesvitnosť až po sýtu farebnosť a dynamickosť… Témy mojich obrazov su rôzne. Jedna z nich, je Pocta žene, ktorá je u mňa symbolom sily, jemnosti, zraniteľnosti a harmónie. Niekedy je aj vyjadrením mňa samej, mojich pocitov. Často maľujem strom ako symbol sily. Rastie, rozvíja sa, naberá skúsenosti, je ohýbaný vetrom, dažďom, mrazom, ale pokračuje ticho ďalej vo svojom raste. Obdivujem filozofiu starých grékov, ich snahu o vytvorenie harmónie medzi dušou a telom (diptych „Pocta Grécku“). Zároveň kladiem pomocou symbolov otázky : „schody – kam kráčame? „. Neskôr som vytvorila obrazy „Pútnička“ a triptych „Modlitba – gotické chrámy“. Obraz „A nevstúpiš do chrámu, ak chrám nie je v tebe“ vznikol spontánne po prečítaní ,,Proroka, od Chalil Gibrana. Posledných päť obrazov je ladených viac poeticky ako filozoficky. Sú to „Štyri ročné obdobia“ , „Rieka“ a „Hudba“.
Verím, že ľudia si k sebe podvedome hľadajú cestu, či už prostredníctvom slova, obrazu alebo hudby (obraz „Jar“) … a tak sa ponorte do mojich obrazov, symbolov, farieb a štruktúr a ja dúfam, že aspoň kúsok tepla si z nich vo svojom vnútri odnesiete.

Welcome You to My First Independent Exhibition
My name is Darina Berková (maiden name Dobrovodská). I was born in Bratislava where I live j2_200.jpg (3841 bytes)with my husband and two children. I have chosen for my exhibition 29 pictures with different themes painted from January ‘86 to December ‘97. Most of my exhibits are created by combined technique of dry and moisture pastel, some of my pictures are done by pencil, and some only by moisture pastel. This combined technique fits me very well because of the wide variety of possibilities. I can express total tenderness and almost transparency, but also full colour and dynamics.Themes of my pictures are different. One of them is the appreciation of a woman as a combination of strength, tenderness, vulnerability and harmony. Sometimes it is also self-expression. I quite often like to make a tree, the symbol of power, it grows …, it develops itself, acquires experience, it is bent by wind, rain, and freeze, but it continues to grow. Another theme is the appreciation of a human being and all his creations. I admire the philosophy of ancient Greeks, their effort to achieve the harmony between the soul and body („Greece Appreciation“, „A Prayer – Gothic Churches“). In the sametime I am posing questions through symbols: „stairs – where are we going? …“. Gradually I evolved to themes „A Pilgrim Lady“, „A Prayer“ and „You do not Enter the Church if the Church is not inside You“. This picture came into existence spontaneously after reading The Prophet by Chalil Gibran. The last five pictures are more poetic then philosophical. They are „The Four Seasons“ , „The River“ and „Music“.
I believe that people subconsciously look for the ways to other people, either by words, pictures, or music (picture „Spring“). Therefore let your feeling dive into my pictures, symbols, colours, and structures, and I believe that each of you can carry out a small piece of human warmth inside you.
Herzlich willkommen in meiner Internet – Galerie
Mein Name ist Darina Berkova (geborene Dobrovodska). Ich wurde am 26.07.1968 in Pressburg geboren. Mein Studium absolvierte ich an der Kunstakademie in Pressburg. Nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluß des Studiums habe ich eine weitere zweijährige Weiterbildung an der gleichen Kunstakademie besucht. Meine erste Ausstellung fand im Dezember 1996 im Hotel Danube in Pressburg statt. Meine Ausstellung beinhaltete 29 Bilder mit den verschiedensten Thematiken. Die Bilder, die ich in dieser Ausstellung präsentierte, entstanden in einem Zeitraum von 11 Jahren, von 1986 bis zum Jahre 1997.
In meinen Bildern spiegeln sich verschiedenste Zeichentechniken wieder. So sind die meisten Bilder im Stile des kombinierten Pastells (trocken-fett) gemalt, andere wiederum mit dem Bleistift oder im Stille des fetten Pastells. Diese Techniken bevorzuge ich besonders wegen der breiten Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten. Es ist somit möglich mit dieser Technik die volle Feinheit und die volle Durchsichtigkeit bis zur satten Farbenpracht und der Dynamik auszudrücken.
In meinen Bildern befasse ich mich mit den verschiedensten Themen. So ist beispielsweise ein Thema, daß der Ehre der Frau, die für mich das Symbol der Kraft, der Feinheit, der Verletzlichkeit und der Harmonie ist. Manchmal ist das auch der Ausdruck von mir selbst und spiegelt meine Gefühle wieder.
Oft mahle ich einen Baum, als das Symbol der Kraft. Er wächst, entwickelt sich, sammelt die Erfahrungen, wird vom Wind, vom Regen, vom Frost gebeugt und dabei setzt er still und unbeeindruckt von den äußeren Einflussen seinen Wachsen fort.
Ich bewundere die Philosophie der alten Griechen, ihre Bemuhungen um die Schaffung der Harmonie zwischen der Seele und dem Geist (das Diptychon Hommage a Griechenland ). Auch stelle ich durch die Symbole in meinen Bildern eine Menge von verschiedenen Fragen, wie zum Beispiel: „die Treppe, wohin schreiten wir“?
Später habe ich die Bilder „Die Pilgerin“ und das Triptichon „das Gebet – die gotischen Kathedralen“ gemalt. Das Bild „Und trittst du in eine Kathedrale nicht ein, wenn die Kathedrale nicht in dir ist“ entstand spontan nach dem Durchlesen des Buches „der Prophet“ vom Chalil Gibran. Die letzten fünf Bilder sind mehr poetisch, als philosophisch bestimmt. Es sind die Bilder „Die vier Jahreszeiten“, „Der Fluß“, und „Die Musik“.
Ich bin überzeugt, daß die Menschen unbewußt durch die Wörter, die Bilder oder durch die Musik (das Bild „Der Frühling“) die Wege zueinander suchen und tauchen in die Symbole, die Farben, die Strukturen meiner Bilder ein und ich hoffe, daß sie sich ein bißchen Wärme aus denen in Ihr Inneres übertragen können.
